The Super Boots

OVERVIEWIn a unique collaboration for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Red Wing Shoes created a meticulously crafted, real-world version of Mario’s iconic boots, bringing the beloved video game artifact to life. The boots were announced by Nintendo creator Shigeru Miyamoto during a Nintendo Direct presentation and then unveiled in person at the flagship Nintendo Store in Rockefeller Center on “Mario Day” (March 10).

The experience began with a secure delivery of the product in a Mario Brothers plumbing van, followed by a dramatic curtain reveal of the museum-like display. Fans attending the event received a limited edition Mario Day poster and a commemorative boot-imprint plaque. The boots and the event were featured in Hypebeast, Complex, and Highsnobiety, among others.
