Super Mario Bros. Movie x McDonald’s
The Super Mario Bros. Movie and McDonald’s joined forces for a worldwide Happy Meal campaign, turning the restaurant experience into an extension of Mario’s universe—playful, collectible, and fun for everyone. As Art and Design Director, I led the creative execution, ensuring that every element—from the toys to the packaging—felt authentic to both brands and delivered an engaging experience for fans.
The campaign featured two toy collections: a plastic-based set, capturing Mario’s fast-paced, kinetic energy, and a paper-based set, aligning with McDonald’s sustainability efforts while maintaining interactivity and charm.
Beyond the toys, I led the design of Happy Meal Box art, packaging, in-store displays, POS materials, posters, and merchandisers, seamlessly blending the film’s world with McDonald’s every touchpoint, creating a cohesive global rollout that immersed millions of families in Mario’s world. 🍄
